On day one, the Pasadena Complete Streets Coalition and the Department of Transportation present “Public Art in Pasadena #2” on Wednesday, October 19, from 5-7 p.m., when you can explore Old Pasadena and the Playhouse Village – the most Pasadena’s Old Commercial Districts – focusing on artwork exhibited throughout the area.

Public Art in Pasadena #2 is part of Walktober 2022, an annual event to get people walking in Pasadena through in-person guided walks and self-guided walking tours using interactive online resources.

Walktober, now in its fifth year, guides you through Pasadena’s public art that can be found throughout the city, tucked into nearly every nook, cranny, and alleyway. You will also see the murals, sculptures, statues, and architectural details that all reflect the city’s history, legends, culture, and inspirations.

On this tour, be sure to bring your cameras to enjoy Crown City’s most photogenic spots. The place of departure will be sent to you after your registration. The tour will end a few blocks from the lake station on the L (Gold) line. Customers are encouraged to take advantage of the metro.

The organizers recommend that you wear comfortable walking shoes, sunscreen, a hat, and bring water.
