County News:

Los Alamos County has a collection of 140 works of public art throughout the county, which are on public lands or in facilities that residents and visitors may not recognize as public art.

To help remedy this situation, the Art in Public Places (APP) Board of Trustees and Los Alamos County staff have worked to complete a website that identifies the public art collection of Los Alamos County.

The wait is over, visitors and residents of Los Alamos will now be able to find out where Public Art is located in Los Alamos County through Public Art Archive, an online and mobile database of public artwork.

This website hosts the entire collection in Los Alamos County with descriptions, images, and directions to locations. The APP Board of Trustees would like to encourage everyone to visit the site and learn about the amazing works and artists in the collection.

The Los Alamos County Public Art Archive can be accessed at this address link or by the Los Alamos County Community Services websiteunder Boards and Commissions, Art in Public Places.
